The new establishment brings together three chef partners — Matthew Lief, Michael Felix and Maria Dela Cruz. The trio has been working together for decades. The chef’s previous endeavor, Landhaus, is well known for its maple-glazed, thick-cut bacon on a stick.

The new bar is registered as a woman- and minority-owned business. Its name, 'Three Maples' refers to the three partners, with a maple leaf logo created from three overlaid letter M's.

“Our mission will always be to create unfussy, delicious and fun food,” Lief said.

“We create truly American food through our unique lens, collective experiences, and backgrounds of southern California, Mexican, Korean, Filipino, and New York Jewish culture.”

The menu features several small plates that include elote dip and the team’s signature thick-cut bacon. The menu also offers three large plates: a house burger, a spicy fried chicken sandwich, and fish and chips.

House-made lardons, charred baby broccoli with garlic confit and blistered shishito peppers with yuzu vinaigrette round out the menu.

A tightly curated cocktail menu

The house specialty cocktail is the Triple M, with brown butter-washed bourbon, Berkshire maple syrup, and orange bitters.

Three Maples also has plans to offer a weekend brunch beginning in the spring. For additional information, click here.
