In recognition of the tragic assassination of civil rights leader Medgar Wiley Evers, on June 12, 1963, the students and alumni of Medgar Evers College, CUNY -- a Predominately Black Institution (PBI) located in Crown Heights, Brooklyn -- announce a special online event that will honor the College's namesake. The virtual event, In the Spirit of Activism: A Tribute in Celebration of the Life and Legacy of Medgar Wiley Evers will take place via Zoom on Monday, June 15, 2020, at 6:00pm EST.
