The polls are now open for New Yorkers to vote in the 2024 presidential primaries today, April 2.
This will be largely a symbolic vote, as former President Donald J. Trump and President Joe Biden both have locked up the Republican and Democratic party nominations.
There were over 55,000 people in the city who cast their ballot during the early voting period, according to the city Board of Elections.
Connecticut, Rhode Island and Wisconsin will also be having their primaries today.
