Fire officials are investigating the cause of a two-alarm fire that broke out Wednesday night on the 11th floor of a high-rise apartment building on Marcus Garvey Boulevard in Bed-Stuy.
Twenty fire trucks, and approximately 78 FDNY personnel were called in at around 10:15pm regarding a fire at 153 Marcus Garvey Boulevard in the Roosevelt Houses complex.
A fire had ignited in one of the apartment's rooms and had begun to blaze out of control, breaking out the apartment's windows and creating heavy clouds of toxic smoke.
The fire was finally brought under control at around 10:52pm. Four residents were rescued and taken to Woodhull Hospital with minor injuries
The cause of the fire is under investigation, said officials.
