At least 3,000 New York City volunteers are need for one night of service in helping the City address the problem of homelessness.
On Monday, January 27, the NYC Department of Homeless Services will conduct the Homeless Outreach Population Estimate (HOPE).
This effort can only be made possible with the help of thousands of volunteers willing to canvass parks, subways, and other public spaces to estimate the number of people living unsheltered in the city.

The information gathered by volunteers during HOPE 2014 is critical in helping the organization's ongoing efforts to fight homeless in the city, and it is only with the selfless act during one night that it can be made possible.
