A Brooklyn man will start cycling across the United States on Saturday to raise funds for Doctors Without Borders.
Justin Johnstone, the founder of NYC Bike + Brew, a group that plans cycling tours with pub stops, will start his journey at Maria Hernandez Park in Bushwick on Saturday, May 25, according to a news release.
Johnstone is raising funds for the international medical aid organization's efforts in Gaza.
"People show their support in many different ways," said Johnstone. "Some people march in the streets. I'm choosing to cycle across the country for much needed funds."
With a goal of completing the trip in roughly 60 - 65 days, Johnstone will chronicle his 3,800-plus-mile journey on his Instagram page. All donations will go directly to Doctors Without Borders.
