On Saturday, May 10, Bridge Street Development Corporation, along with the Bedford-Stuyvesant Youth, Education and Safety (YES) Task Force, NYPD and young volunteers came together to make Bed-Stuy a little more colorful and fragrant:
More than twenty block associations turned out at 8:00am at the Quincy Senior Residences to participate in the third annual "Flower Bed-Stuy," a major flower giveaway day, which also includes a block cleanup and community-wide planting effort.
Brenda Fryson, chair of the YES Task Force said Flower Bed-Stuy is how grassroots organizations come together to keep Bedford-Stuyvesant the beautiful community that it is.
