Producer Flying Lotus and R&B singer and songwriter Jazmine Sullivan are set to headline this year's Afropunk Brooklyn.

Afropunk Brookyn is an annual festival that spotlights Black creativity and is soundtracked by music that speaks to the Black experience. It was launched in Brooklyn in 2004, but is now a global movement with similar events being held across the globe.

This year, Afropunk Brooklyn is being held on Aug. 26 and 27 at the Greenpoint Terminal Market with the theme: Circus of soul.

With a Carnivalesque exhibition, the annual event will aim to be a celebration of life, music, food and culture in the Black community.
