Brooklyn's first baby of 2026 is Noah Joseph Lewis, who came into this world at 2:22 am on January 1, 2026, at Maimonides Medical Center.
Lewis, weighing seven pounds, five ounces and measuring 20 inches long, was born to proud parents Chelsea Modeste Lewis and Devin Lewis of Flatbush.
“I feel very blessed to be beginning this year with a new addition to our family,” said Chelsea Modeste Lewis. “I can’t wait to witness the relationship blossom over the years between Noah and his big sister Jamie.”
Both mother and baby are doing well under the care of Phyllis Lynn, Certified Nurse Midwife, Simone Chang, Certified Nurse Midwife, and Selena Chen, RN. In a surprising coincidence, Lynn also delivered mom Chelsea at Maimonides in 1993, hospital officials said.
“Simone, the midwife group, the nurses and the whole staff at Maimonides were great,” said Devin Lewis. “We are immensely grateful to Maimonides for supporting us as we begin our journey with our baby boy and our new family of four.”
