Forever Valentine: A Night of Black Love Songs is set to bring rhythm, romance and community spirit to Brooklyn on Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music.
Timed to honor both Black History Month and Valentine’s Day, the evening celebrates generations of Black musical artistry through a live performance of timeless love songs that have shaped popular culture and defined eras of connection and expression.
Guests can expect a vibrant setlist that moves across decades and styles, from the soulful sounds of classic crooners to the smooth grooves of neo-soul and beloved ’90s R&B favorites.
Music by icons such as Marvin Gaye and Anita Baker will help create an atmosphere designed for couples, groups of friends or anyone looking for a lively night centered on music, dancing and shared appreciation for Black love songs.
The program will feature vocalists and musicians, including Uton Onyejekwe and Tahira Clayton, with additional performers to be announced. Together, the artists will deliver an evening of live music meant to evoke nostalgia while also honoring the ongoing legacy of Black musicians who continue to influence contemporary sound.
Attendees will have access to light refreshments throughout the night, along with a cash bar offering beverages during the event. The gathering is suggested for guests ages 18 and older, making it an accessible option for adults seeking an energetic yet intimate cultural experience.
Tickets are priced at $14 and include one complimentary drink along with light refreshments. With a focus on music, movement and celebration, Forever Valentine offers a welcoming space for the community to come together, dance and enjoy the enduring power of Black love songs in a festive setting.
