NYU Langone Health has expanded its presence in Brooklyn with the opening of NYU Langone Ambulatory Care—Fort Hamilton, a new multi-specialty practice designed to improve access to coordinated specialty care for patients in southwest Brooklyn.

The facility brings physicians and advanced practice providers from several existing locations together in one location, creating a centralized destination for a range of outpatient services.

Located at 437 88th St. in Fort Hamilton, the practice offers routine and specialized gynecologic care, family planning services, maternal-fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, urology, uro-oncology and endourology.

"This new location reflects our ongoing commitment to expanding access to top-quality care throughout Brooklyn," said Dr. Oren Cahlon, executive vice president, vice dean for clinical affairs and strategy and chief clinical officer at NYU Langone Health. "By bringing together a variety of specialties in one convenient location, we're making it easier for patients to receive coordinated, specialized care while continuing to invest in the health and well-being of the Brooklyn communities we serve."

The site is intended to make it easier for patients to receive care closer to home while accessing multiple specialties in one place.

The opening marks another step in NYU Langone's continued investment in Brooklyn's health care infrastructure. Expanding specialty services within the borough gives residents greater access to coordinated treatment closer to where they live while strengthening the availability of outpatient care in southwest Brooklyn.

Bringing multiple specialties together also helps streamline care by reducing the need for patients to travel between different offices.

The practice joins a growing NYU Langone health care campus in Fort Hamilton. It complements the NYU Langone Brooklyn Medical Arts Pavilion, which offers primary and specialty care next door and NYU Langone Radiology—Fort Hamilton, located across the street. Together, the facilities provide patients with access to a broad range of medical services within the neighborhood.

The expansion will continue this fall with the opening of a 120,000-square-foot ambulatory care center in Sunset Park, directly across from NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn.

Many physicians based at the Fort Hamilton practice will perform procedures at the new facility, which will house ambulatory surgery services, physician practices, Perlmutter Cancer Center and the Family Health Centers at NYU Langone Health, creating a seamless continuum of care from office visits through treatment and recovery.
