Free Fall Sports, Fitness Programs Open for Brooklyn Kids And Seniors

City Parks Foundation is bringing free soccer, tennis, golf, yoga, pickleball, and more to Brooklyn parks this fall. Registration is now open for youth and seniors.

City Parks Foundation has opened registration for its free Fall 2025 CityParks Play programs, giving Brooklyn residents of all ages the chance to get active in their neighborhood parks. 

From soccer to golf, tennis to track and even senior yoga plus pickleball, the programs are designed to keep the community moving while promoting health, confidence plus connection.

“CityParks Play provides an enriching environment to thousands of kids and seniors across New York City through a variety of fun instructional sports programs that encourage an active, healthy lifestyle,” said Mike Silverman, director of Sports at City Parks Foundation. 

Programs run from September through November, with most sessions held on weekdays or weekends in the mornings and afternoons. All classes are free but require registration.

FALL 2025 DATES, TIMES, LOCATIONS AND PARTICIPANT AGES:

Youth Track and Field

City Parks Foundation Track and Field Program

Programs run 9/20 - 11/1, Saturdays or Sundays, 10:00am - 12:00pm

Available to youth ages 8 - 16 at the following sites

●                    Ages 8 - 12: Brownsville Playground  - Saturdays, 10:00am - 11:00am

Youth Golf

Lessons at CityParks Junior Golf Center

Programs run from 9/2 - 10/20

Available to youth ages 7-9, 10-11, 12-13, and 14+ at CityParks Junior Golf Center (Bay Ridge)

●                    Ages 7 - 9: Tuesdays at 4:00pm, Wednesdays at 4:00pm, Thursdays at 4:00pm, Fridays at 4:00pm, Saturdays at 10:45am, Sundays at 9:00am 

●                    Ages 10 - 11: Mondays at 4:00pm, Wednesdays at 5:15pm, Thursdays at 4:00pm, Saturdays at 1:00pm, Sundays at 10:45pm

●                    Ages 12 - 13: Mondays at 5:15pm, Fridays at 5:15pm, Saturdays at 2:45pm, Sundays at 1:00pm

●                    Ages 14+: Tuesdays at 5:15pm, Thursdays at 5:15pm Sundays at 2:45pm

Available to adults ages 60+

Tennis     

●                    Marine Park - Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:00pm - 3:00pm

Yoga

●                    Marine Park  - Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:00am - 10:00am

●                    South Oxford Park - Wednesdays, 11:00am - 12:30pm

Pickleball

●                    Leif Erikson Park - Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30am  - 11:30am  

●                    John J. Carty Park - Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:00am - 12:00pm
