Brooklyn Made Celebrates New City Point Location

This is the second location of the store that only sells wares from Brooklyn businesses.

Elected officials and community leaders joined the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce on June 7 for the grand opening of the new Brooklyn Made Store at City Point in Downtown Brooklyn.

This marks the second location for the Brooklyn Made Store, which opened in Industry City in May 2023. Like the original location, the City Point location will feature products from local makers and entrepreneurs that represent the rich diversity of Brooklyn, according to a news release.

"Brooklyn holds a wealth of cultures and histories from across the world, all coming together here and calling this borough home,” said Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso. “The new Brooklyn Made Store emphasizes this shared connection, presenting some of the best Brooklyn artists, businesses, and crafts. The art and goods showcased at the Brooklyn Made Store capture stories as unique as our borough, and I’m grateful to the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce for expanding this celebration of our borough.”

Exclusive to the City Point location, the store features international products from global artisans of some of the many countries the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce has partnered with, including Brooklyn Loom in Pakistan, as well as distinctive goods sourced from El Salvador and Singapore.

The new location also features unique, sustainable construction, composed of reclaimed material by local Brooklyn interior design and renovation company Gurri.

The Brooklyn Made Store is known for its commitment to identifying and promoting designers, makers, and entrepreneurs, mostly from communities of color, who embody the essence of what it means to be Brooklyn, as represented through their unique products.
