On Friday, March 7, the Avett Brothers gave a rousing performance at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

Hailing from North Carolina, the Avett Brothers combine bluegrass, pop, honky tonk and ragtime to produce a sound described by The San Francisco Chronicle as having the "heavy sadness of Townes Van Zandt, the light pop concision of Buddy Holly, the tuneful jangle of the Beatles, the raw energy of the Ramones."

Before the show, Barclays Center gifted the band with Brooklyn Nets hats and custom jerseys, as well as a signature canvas art piece by Brooklyn artist One9.
