Get ready for the opening ceremony of New York City's first, official citywide annual celebration of Haitian arts and culture! Selebrasyon!
Sponsored by the Haiti Cultural Exchange, a non-profit organization established to develop, present and promote the cultural expressions of the Haitian people, the festival seeks to highlight the dynamic presence of Haitians in New York City and build awareness, appreciation and conversation around the Haiti of NOW.
The festival kicks off on Saturday, May 17, 2014, with an opening night celebration and will continue for six weeks, culminating on June 30, during Caribbean Heritage Month.
