The New York Liberty have finalized their coaching staff for the 2026 season, assembling a group with experience across the WNBA, NBA, G League and international basketball.
The staff will be led by head coach Chris DeMarco, a four-time NBA champion, as the franchise continues to emphasize player development and organizational continuity. Assistant coaches Courtney Paris, Addi Walters and Will Sheehey join the bench, alongside Andrew Wade, who will serve as assistant coach and director of player development and Kristen Mann as player development coach.
Paris joins after a decade-long WNBA playing career that included a championship with the Seattle Storm in 2018 and two rebounding titles. She most recently worked as an assistant coach with the Chicago Sky and previously held roles with the Dallas Wings and the University of Oklahoma.
“I’m incredibly excited about the group we’ve assembled and how aligned we are around shared, winning values as a staff,” said DeMarco. “Each coach brings a high level of compete, a team‑first mentality, a passion for teaching the game, and unique experiences that will help us adapt our gameplan night to night, while also reflecting our commitment to building and strengthening the coaching pipeline. Most importantly, we care deeply about our players and sustaining a championship‑level environment here in New York.”
Walters brings a mix of NBA and international experience, including five seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves organization and a stint on DeMarco’s staff with the Bahamas men’s national team. She most recently coached with the Iowa Wolves.
Sheehey adds a background in player development and analytics, most recently working with Denmark’s Bakken Bears after several seasons with the Golden State Warriors in player development and innovation roles.
Wade returns to the Liberty in an expanded position after serving on the Washington Mystics’ 2019 championship staff and working in New York’s player development department in 2025. He most recently coached Laces BC to a third-place finish in Unrivaled.
Mann brings nearly 20 years of professional playing experience, most recently working in basketball development with the Connecticut Sun following her final season in France with Tango Bourges Basket.
In the front office, the Liberty promoted Micaela Reese to director of basketball operations and Parker Lovett to director of basketball strategy. Franchise veteran Epiphanny Prince also moved into a full-time basketball operations role focused on scouting and organizational initiatives.
New York will open its 30th season at Barclays Center with a preseason game against the Indiana Fever on April 25, followed by its home opener against the Connecticut Sun on May 8.
