Fresh off their 2024 WNBA championship, the New York Liberty are bringing back their biggest community celebration — The Brooklyn Dribble, presented by Ticketmaster — on Sunday, Sept. 7 at Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Free and open to all, the event invites thousands of kids and their families to grab a basketball and join a one-mile dribble parade through the park. The route starts at Pier 6 and ends at Pier 2, where a full Liberty Fan Fest will keep the celebration going.

The parade begins at 10:00 a.m., with every participant receiving a basketball and t-shirt. At the finish line, fans can enjoy performances by Ellie the Elephant, the Timeless Torches, a special guest act, and live DJ sets, along with food trucks, lawn games, face painting, hair styling, and airbrush tattoos. Brooklyn Basketball coaches will lead on-the-court activities throughout the day. Pre-registration is encouraged, as spots fill quickly.

“After such incredible turnout and response to 2024, the New York Liberty could not be more excited to bring The Brooklyn Dribble back for a second year,” said Keia Clarke, the Liberty’s Chief Executive Officer. “It’s about more than celebrating our team — it’s about bringing people together, honoring the community that supports us, and creating lasting memories in Brooklyn.”

Last year’s debut drew more than 2,000 fans, making it the team’s largest community event since relocating to Brooklyn. For the Liberty, it’s both a championship celebration and a chance to inspire the borough’s next generation of basketball stars.

The Brooklyn Dribble also caps off the Liberty’s summer-long youth basketball camps and clinics across the city. Through their Brooklyn Basketball program, run alongside the Brooklyn Nets, the team is expanding year-round opportunities for young athletes — including new after-school programs, camps, and clinics at the soon-to-open Brooklyn Basketball Training Center across from Barclays Center this fall.
