Art in DUMBO announced the lineup for the First Thursday Gallery Walk taking place on Oct. 2, with exhibitions, artist talks, live performances and receptions across the neighborhood’s galleries and cultural spaces.
Each First Thursday offers a chance to explore DUMBO’s creative community while enjoying waterfront views, neighborhood bars and restaurants and late-night gallery hours. The event is free and open to the public.
A free Insider’s Tour, running from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, will guide visitors through select shows. This month’s stops include Platform Project Space, Lucky Risograph, A.I.R. Gallery and Loop of the Loom. Registration is required, with the group meeting in the lobby of 20 Jay St. at 6:30pm.

Gallery (155 Plymouth St.) presents Until I Get It Together by Abbey Williams, a two-channel video installation responding to Nina Simone’s 1976 Montreux Jazz Festival performance and Once Again I Fall Into My Feminine Ways by Maxine Henryson, a photographic journey spanning decades and continents. - Creatively Wild Art Studio (98 Water St.) showcases Tyler Scott and Austin Aura: Instructor Showcase, blending digital illustration and 3D model making. On view through October 2.
- CSB Fine Arts (81 Prospect St., Suite 104) debuts Essence of Being by Samuel E. Vázquez, whose works draw on New York City’s street culture of the 1970s and ’80s. On view through Nov. 3.

- Lucky Risograph (20 Jay St., Suite 217) presents Dreamscapes: Group Book Launch and Studio Exhibition featuring Chenxin Luo, Chenyi Luo, Xinyi Yang and Qin Shen.
- Platform Project Space (20 Jay St., Suite 319) presents WILD, a group show of paintings and sculptures celebrating organic growth and unprogrammed form. On view through Nov. 1.
