If you missed Chris Rock's secret taping of his upcoming Netflix special at BAM last month - don't fret! Nearly a decade since his last tour, the comedic maestro returns to Brooklyn's Barclays Center with his "Total Blackout Tour" on Saturday, December 9.

Rock announced his tour late 2016 in a Facebook Live video: "Tonight, I am announcing that I, Chris Rock, am going on tour. First time in nine years, haven't done it in awhile. Been a little busy, you know, writing Pootie Tang 3 and everything. But hey, it's time."

Rock is deemed by many as the greatest stand-up comedian of his generation because of his perfect delivery and timing, along with a willingness and capability to discuss just any subject. The comic began doing stand-up in the mid-1980s at NYC's famous club "Catch a Rising Star," and had his film breakthrough with "Beverly Hills Cop II." In 1990, Rock became a cast member of "Saturday Night Live" alongside Chris Farley, Adam Sandler and David Spade. Rock's 1996 HBO special "Bring the Pain" established him as one of the funniest and most relevant comedians of the decade. For the talk show "The Chris Rock Show," which he hosted for three seasons between 1997 and 2000, Rock won three Emmy Awards.

After a 9-year hiatus, Rock returns with the Total Blackout Tour, titled after Rock's pre-Oscars tweet promising a "#blackout" at the Academy Awards in 2015, - and all new material.

If you can't make it to Saturday's show at the Barclays Center, Rock can also be seen at Madison Square Garden from December 6-8. And if that doesn't work...well there is always Netflix - stay tuned for the release date for the special!
