The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) in Red Hook is kicking off its fall season with three dynamic exhibitions opening Saturday, Sept. 13.

Aerosol Euphoria: Urban Street Art highlights the power of street art as a form of cultural storytelling. From spray paint to mixed media, the show captures the rhythm and energy of the street while celebrating its role in shaping urban identity.

The Art of the NuYoRICAN Soul brings together contemporary Puerto Rican artists whose works pulse with color, rhythm, and resilience. This national juried show reflects the creative force of Nuyorican communities and their lasting impact on New York City’s cultural landscape.

Brooklyn Resilience, the members’ exhibition, showcases how artists find strength and expression in their work and in their lives. As BWAC has remained a Red Hook mainstay for decades, the exhibition mirrors that enduring spirit of survival and renewal.

All three shows will run on weekends from Sept. 13 through Oct. 12, from 1:00 pm to 6:00pm, inside BWAC’s historic gallery space at 481 Van Brunt St., housed in the Civil War–era Beard and Robinson Stores warehouse.

This season also marks the 10th anniversary of Red Hook Open Studios. Alongside the neighborhood-wide celebration on Oct. 11 and 12, BWAC will host more than a dozen local artists without traditional studio spaces, giving them a platform to share their work throughout the fall exhibitions.
