New York City Economic Development Corporation on Tuesday unveiled the first slate of community, cultural and waterfront events taking place at the Brooklyn Army Terminal throughout the summer. Beginning in May and running through October, EDC will activate the 59‑acre, city‑owned industrial campus as a lively destination for New Yorkers of all ages, featuring live performances, outdoor film screenings, art displays, food and community markets, and family‑friendly programming.
In addition to the first rollout of programming, EDC—alongside event operator Indigo Enterprises—will add more than 10 additional free, community‑focused events and programming, to the series.
The pilot series in 2025 brought over 7,000 guests to the BAT campus for free community outdoor programming and events, officials said.
“Summer at the Brooklyn Army Terminal reflects what makes New York City special—bringing people together in dynamic public spaces that celebrate culture, community, and opportunity,” said EDC Interim President and Chief Executive Officer Jeanny Pak. “We’re proud to build on last year’s successful pilot by expanding the series with more free, community- and culture-driven programming and events. As a historic anchor on the Sunset Park waterfront, the BAT campus continues to welcome New Yorkers from all five boroughs to gather, connect and engage.”
