Atlantic Terminal to Host Pumpkin Patch, Food Market and Salsa Nights

Atlantic Terminal is expanding its community programming this fall, combining family entertainment with opportunities to discover local vendors and Latin dance.

Atlantic Terminal will host its annual Fall Fest on Oct. 10, bringing a free pumpkin patch, seasonal activities and a costume dance party to Brooklyn, alongside vegan food markets and salsa dancing scheduled for later in the month.

Presented in partnership with Brooklyn Bridge Parents, Fall Fest will run from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Atlantic Terminal Plaza and the adjoining pedestrian mall on Fort Greene Place, at 139 Flatbush Ave.

The event will feature more than 1,000 pumpkins for children to pick and decorate, a pumpkin photo opportunity, more than 10 free fall-themed activities, haunted trucks provided by DUMBO Moving and a DJ-led costume dance party. Families are encouraged to attend in costumes.

The celebration is part of Atlantic Terminal’s October programming, which also includes Planted Culture Food Market and Sunset Salsa Nights on Oct. 15 and 29. The vegan night market will run from 4:00 to 9:00pm, with salsa and Latin dance sessions led by Nieves Latin Dance Studio from 5:00 to 8:00pm.

Produced by Madeira Vegan, a Hispanic-owned business, the market features several Hispanic-owned vendors and coincides with Hispanic Heritage Month. The programming offers residents opportunities to support local businesses, explore plant-based food options and participate in cultural activities in a shared public space.

Fall Fest has become Brooklyn Bridge Parents’ most-attended event. Its combination of family activities and seasonal attractions provides an accessible way for Brooklyn residents to celebrate autumn, while the accompanying food market and dance sessions extend the programming to adults and visitors interested in local food and Latin music.

Fall Fest is free and open to all ages. Advance registration is available through the Atlantic Terminal website. If rain affects the event, it will be held Sunday, Oct. 11, at the same time.

Additional information about Fall Fest is available here, while details about the food market and salsa sessions can be found on the website.
