Massive Fire Destroys Crown Heights Building

Over 100 firefighters were on the scene.

A massive fire destroyed a Crown Heights building on Wednesday morning, endangering nearly 100 members of the FDNY as they responded to the blaze. 

The fire broke out at around 5 a.m. at 222 Brooklyn Ave., where fire responders were met with heavy smoke on the first floor as the fire spread throughout the building, and to a neighboring residence at 224 Brooklyn Ave.
