A man was fatally shot in the chest during the early hours Thursday morning in Brooklyn, police said.
Cody Toldeo, 33, was shot just blocks away from where he lived near the intersection of Linwood Street and New Lots Avenue at around 1:40 a.m. When police arrived, they discovered him with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
