Equipment Trailer Stolen From Gerritsen Beach Boy Scout Troop Valued at Nearly 6K

Scoutmaster Andrew Sherman estimates that the trailer costs about $5,800, and says it was used by scouts to transport gear and equipment for camping trips.

From News 12:

A Brooklyn Boy Scout troop is devastated after learning that their equipment trailer was stolen in the middle of the night.

The trailer of Troop 396 uses the parking lot in Gerritsen Beach to park their trailer, but now it’s nowhere to be seen after it was stolen last week.

Surveillance videos from neighbors showed that at 1 a.m. last Sunday, a pickup truck entered the parking lot, picked the locks and drove off with the trailer within a matter of minutes.
