Celebrate the much-anticipated new edition of the bestselling 1955 book The Sweet Flypaper of Life, in conjunction with our special exhibition Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power. The iconic collaboration between poet Langston Hughes and photographer Roy DeCarava—whose work is included in the exhibition—captures daily life in Harlem through a poetic dialogue of images and words. Publisher and art historian Sherry Turner DeCarava presents a reading and images from the book, followed by a conversation with special guests.
