Celtic Balladeer Danny O’Flaherty Presents “Hurricane Memoirs In Song” at the Deutsches Haus in Metairie, LA

Though Danny O’Flaherty now lives in Jasper, Texas, and O’Flaherty’s Irish Channel Pub is just a memory in the minds of thousands, he is as much a New Orleanian as he is an Irishman, having spent 30 years in the city promoting his Irish culture and heritage. He will be returning to the Deutsches Haus on August 15 at 7:00 pm for a special performance, featuring songs he recorded during his evacuation of New Orleans and the days following Hurricane Katrina. Danny’s performance at the Deutsches Haus will include songs such as “Tá Grá’am Duit I Gconaí” (I Will Always Love You) and “Droschsceál Go New Orleans” (Bad Story for New Orleans), songs he wrote in his native Gaelic language after Hurricane Katrina. Tickets $17.00-$20.00
