On Saturday, May 16, from 10:00am – 3:00pm at Restoration Plaza, join the Bedford-Stuyvesant Youth, Education & Safety Task Force and Community Board 3 for the 8th annual Discover Your Neighborhood Resource and Safety Expo, aka “Discover Bed-Stuy!”

10452308_952285748136518_7584056735082192321_nDozens of organizations will be represented to share information more than 50 representatives handing out information on free community resources available to Bed-Stuy residents.

The event signals the pre kick-off of the DanceAfrica festival at BAM. There will be a free community African dance class, pre-K registration and a children’s play village.

 

Other exciting events will include a dance presentations by the Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Youth Arts Academy as a tribute to Baba Chuck Davis and the pre-opening of Dance Africa; service projects and entertainment presented by the Brooklyn Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and lots more!
