Police have discovered the whereabouts of two young girls from Crown Heights whose parents were under investigation by the Administration for Children’s Services, according to police.
The sisters–Rivka Kutsy, 4, and Chaya, 3– were last seen at their home on Union Street, January 31, but were found with their parents in Sullivan County, N.Y., Monday afternoon.
The parents lost custody of the children about two years ago. They regained trial custody several months ago under an ACS agreement but did not have permission to take the children. They disappeared after ACS said it wanted to talk to the family.
The girls are now in ACS’s custody after being checked out at a hospital. No criminal charges are being filed against the parents.
