Does the word “brand” make you think only of slick corporate packaging? How do you “curate” your message effectively while staying true to your beliefs and your work?

Come take part in the Brooklyn Museum’s first in a series of talks and professional development activities for artists and designers looking to brand, build, and grow their creative enterprises.

Join communications strategist, cultural producer, and artist Janice Bond of SAVANT|SAVANT for her workshop entitled YOUr Art, YOUr Brand, YOUr Business, YOUr Being. We’ll explore strategies to more effectively present ourselves and our work, discover what we project and what to do about it, develop co-branding through collaboration, and look at timelines and scheduling to achieve our goals.

WHAT: Talk and Forum: “Power Shift– Becoming an Artist Entrepreneur”

WHEN: Thursday, September 25, 7:00pm

WHERE: Brooklyn Museum, 200 Eastern Parkway, Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, 4th Floor

WHAT ELSE: Come at 6:30pm for a “Power Shift” gallery tour making connections between the talk and one of the museum’s featured exhibitions. Tickets are $15 for this event, $30 for the entire three-part series. Free for Members; call the Membership hotline at (718) 501-6326 or email to reserve.
