Cops are telling local residents to make sure to lock their windows and doors when they go out after a pattern of burglaries have rocked five apartments in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill, the Brooklyn Paper reported.

The burglaries took place between July 21-26 on Clifton Place between Grand and Classon avenues; on Washington Avenue between Greene and Gates avenues; on Fulton Street between S. Elliot Place and S. Portland Avenue; on Clermont Avenue between Flushing and Park Avenues; and on Clinton Avenue between Willoughby and DeKalb avenues.

The crooks got away with computers, other electronic equipment, cash and bikes.

Nobody was home in most of the incidents, except one in which the victim’s apartment was ransacked while the victim slept. In another of the incidents, the thief gained entrance from pushing in an air conditioner.

Anybody with information on any of the burglaries can call NYPD Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
