TAMA-sumerfest-front-e1402948900469-1024x682Every summer for two consecutive Saturdays, Tompkins Avenue becomes an active, pedestrian-friendly public playground for kids and adults alike.

The Tompkins Avenue Merchants Association in Bedford-Stuyvesant holds TAMA Summerfest, along Tompkins Avenue between Hancock and Putnam Avenue, providing a space for neighbors to meet and children to play while shopping local!

The dates for this year’s TAMA Summerfest will be this Saturday, July 26 and again Saturday, August 2, from 11:00am to 4:00pm.

TAMA-sumerfest-back-1024x682Come check out activities such as aikido, bike maintenance, mural painting, yoga and children’s book readings, along with merchant discounts, dance, music, food, arts, games, a clothing drive, poetry, fashion shows, prizes and much more.

Come get to know your neighbors and your neighborhood! The best of TAMA’s shopping, dining, socializing, food and music will be in full effect!
