Serving as the event’s MC and host is Tony Award-winner Ben Harney. 8ea53b47-7bf2-4db3-8b6f-3e4ca0221901Harney won the Tony Award for best actor in a musical for his role in Broadway’s “Dreamgirls,” capping a long musical theater career that began at age 18 and has included roles in “Purlie,” “Pippin,” “Ain’t Misbehavin” and “The Wiz.”

The honored guest speakers for the evening include City Councilmember Laurie Cumbo, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and NPF Alumna Angelique Henderson who is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University in Economics.

Already, Pilar has already received a medal of distinction from Carnegie Hall, performed for a Mayor and been featured on  PIX11 Morning News.

Also, enjoy a performance by the Thomas Ortiz Dance Company0391cfce-9447-4314-baa3-d49db770081fChristina Giraldi of Show Business Weekly calls the Thomas Ortiz Dance Company  “Ethereal and rejoicing, intriguing, lighthearted, sexually charged, political and thoughtful.” The company will present a piece choreographed to Noel Pointer’s Mirabella.

And finally, of course, let’s not forget the awe-inspiring and melodic sounds of the Noel Pointer Foundation Youth Orchestra which continues to chart an impressive course as young musicians, performing for high-profile events, music icons and political figures throughout New York City. The group will perform works by Brahms, Vaughan Williams and Noel Pointer.fd35a227-b69b-4cd3-be36-e0ecfbae48f7

All of this will take place Thursday, June 4, from 6:30pm – 9:00pm on the rooftop terrace of BAM Fisher’s Hillman Studio, located at 321 Ashland Place.BAM Fisher
