The intersection of Classon Avenue and President Street

A bicyclist is in serious condition after colliding head-on with a van on Classon Avenue in Crown Heights Sunday morning.

According to 71st Pct. police reports, the cyclist was turning southbound onto Classon Avenue– a one-way street that runs northbound– at around 6:30am Sunday when it ran into a van going northbound near the intersection of President Street.

The cyclist was rushed to Kings County Hospital in very serious condition. The driver of the van stayed at the scene and is fully cooperating with the investigation of the accident.

The NYPD would like to remind cyclists that they must obey all traffic regulations and all drivers please be aware of all bike lanes and pedestrians.
