New York City’s mass transit system is the great equalizer.

Regardless of your cultural, educational or socio-economic background, if you ride the iron horse, you share an up-close-and-personal experience with the best (and the worst) of everything the city has to offer.

NYC subways are also where you can capture the flyest, most diverse and most unexpected displays of fashion and urban couture. Check out who we caught riding the iron horse this week donning their signature style.

This is Monica. We took this picture on one of the freezing-cold days last week. She was bundled up like the rest of us, but she still managed to employ her signature style while staying warm!

This friendly teen was just leaving school. We caught him waiting for the C train. He stood out from the rest of his schoolmates because he definitely was unafraid of showing his fashion sense through patterns and colors.
