City Council members Kamillah Hanks and Justin Brannan on Friday sent a joint letter to Mayor Eric Adams, asking him to consider reviving a ferry route between Staten Island and Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

According to CBS News New York, there used to be ferry service between the two boroughs that operated for about 75 years, but it was discontinued in 1964 with the opening of the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge.
